Maybe using a different method of connnection would work better.If there's a change in the picture quality, I'll update this review. The connection works, though I'm a little disappointed with the picture on the television. I use this cable to connect a laptop to an LCD television. I tweaked the settings on the laptop, but there was no improvement.I can't say anything is wrong with the cable itself. The cable was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. It's the promised 12 feet long, and its construction looks fine. It lacks the clarity and sharpness I had hoped for.

Not sure if your supposed to or what but I don't. I recommend buying this cord if you need/want one. I use this to watch movies on my T.V and I don't get sound out of it. Its a great build sturdy and will last you a long time.

The picture from the computer to the TV was good for watching movies, but if you want to surf the web or read word documents, you'll need a better video card and higher resolution TV than I have. It's an inexpensive cable and it does its job. I recommend the product for what it is, but don't expect miracles. This 12ft. s-video cable worked great for connecting my computer to my TV. (I have a 64mb card and a basic digital TV, not even a flatscreen).

Quality product, could have been cheaper. I bought one on ebay that was much cheaper.
